AIRROC is pleased to announce the new 2024 leadership of the Board of Directors. Tom Mendralla (Swiss Re) takes over as Chair with Betsy Mitchell (A.G. Risk Management) and Dawn Ballin (Enstar) as Co-Vice Chairs. The board supporting officers are Marianne Petillo (ROM), Treasurer, Megan McHugh (Brandywine), Secretary and Susan Aldridge (Norton Rose) as General Counsel.
Immediate Past Chair, Bill Goldsmith (AIG) stepped down as chair of the board in December 2023 after serving for two years as Chair and two years as Vice Chair. He will remain on the board for the remainder of his term, which ends December 2024. The organization sincerely thanks Bill for all of his years of leadership and contributions to the success of our initiatives.
The Chair and Co-Vice Chairs, collectively serve as AIRROC’s Executive Committee along with Executive Director, Carolyn Fahey. Tom Mendralla is a Vice President and Portfolio Management Lead Expert Legacy with Swiss Re, Betsy Mitchell is a Reinsurance Manager with A.G. Risk Management and Dawn Ballin is a Senior Vice President and Head of Claims for Enstar (US). All three have a history of dedicated service to AIRROC, both on the board of directors and in leadership positions on key committees within the organization.
AIRROC also welcomes three new Directors elected by the membership:
- Steve Goate is Managing Director at Davies Insurance Services responsible for all intermediary matters. Steve has worked in the London market intermediary arena for 45 years and also serves as a Non-Executive Director on a number of external broker boards.
- Mychal Loney is a Vice President and Account Executive on the Munich Reinsurance North America Business Runoff team. She manages a portfolio of runoff accounts and is responsible for developing and executing run-off account strategies and coordinating all activities involving potential exit solutions.
- Katie Reynolds is a Reinsurance Specialist with The Hartford. She joined The Hartford as an assumed technical lead in 2021. She handles legacy assumed reinsurance claims and has been involved in The Hartford’s most recent transactions, including the management of resultant Adverse Development Covers.
Dawn Ballin (Enstar), Brendan McQuiggan (Brandywine/Chubb) and Tom Mendralla (Swiss Re) were also re-elected as Directors in the last election cycle.
